There are many reasons to prefer do sport at home. Shyness, lack of confidence, exorbitant prices, lack of time, afraid to show fear of not being up to it, preference for individual sports and many other possible reasons. But now, our society allows us to practice a sport at home and at low price.
Already, new technologies are in our service. You don't have enough money to pay for a personal trainer? You don’t need one, now you have tons and tons of videos, applications, video games (Wii, Xbobx ...), TV programs which allow you to perform your sport at home and sometimes to be followed-up (weight changes, calculating calories burned, planning of exercises ...).

Of course, it's still better to be trained by a real person rather than a virtual one ... indeed your smartphone or computer will not be there to prevent potential health problems.
But beware of videos, blogs which are there to make you lose weight or go on a diet. It’s better to focus on maintaining good health!
